Job Description
Wellington Kids Inc. is a growing private SLP and OT practice in Kemptville. We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to work with children from toddler to adolescence. We are looking for a creative and driven professional to add to the team and help with waitlist demands. We offer flexible hours, potential for growth, and competitive wages.
As a Wellington Kids Speech Therapist, you will:

Have the opportunity to work in Kemptville and neighbouring rural areas if you choose to travel.

Have access to therapy tools and assessments

Be able to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Spend more time and energy on therapy vs. paperwork, commuting, etc.

Be in control of your schedule
Responsibilities :
-
Provide assessment and treatment to children with various communication disorders and speech challenges. The age range of children serviced is from toddler/preschool to school age and teens.

Communicate and collaborate with families, occupational therapists, and other professionals as needed
-
Educate and train clients and families to support carryover of skills.

Provide timely documentation of therapy sessions, evaluation reports, progress reports and discharge documentation
-
Uphold the standards and ethics prescribed by CASLPO
-
Help tackle long waiting lists (in-person and virtual)
Qualifications :
-
Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited university program
-
Member in good standing with CASLPO registration
-
2+ years experience preferred, but new grads are also welcome to apply

Experience assessing and providing treatment of receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation/phonological delays, stuttering, motor speech disorders, and AAC
-
Training in neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed care an asset
-
Experience providing parent training
-
Sound clinic judgement and able to work independently.

Highly-motivated with excellent organization, time management, and verbal and written communication skills for frequently changing caseloads
-
Experience and interest in supervising communicative disorders assistants (CDAs)

This position is ideal for those SLPs who are looking for extra work hours in the afternoons, evenings and/or weekends and who are interested in private practice
