Kim Bennett, M.Cl.Sc., Reg. CASLPO

Speech-Language Pathologist

Kim is passionate about working with children! She has been working with young children since 2000, and as a speech-language pathologist since 2012. She has worked  in a variety of settings with children with a variety of needs. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Clinical Science from the University of Western Ontario.

 

She has since received additional training in the following areas:

  • Introduction to PROMPT

  • Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol

  • Hanen parent training programs (It Takes Two to Talk, Target Word, More Than Words, TalkAbility)

  • Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)

  • Lidcombe Program (for young children who stutter)

  • Individual Authorizer through the Assistive Devices Program (ADP)

  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) such as Proloquo2Go

  • Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)

Kelly Read M.H.Sc., Reg. CASLPO

Speech-Language Pathologist

Kelly has been working with children since 2000. She knew she was destined to find a career working with children; it is just too much fun! She has been working as a speech-language pathologist since 2013. She has worked in various settings with children of all ages and who present with a range of needs. Kelly has first-hand experience working with several school boards in and around the area. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Health Science from Macquarie University in New South Wales, Australia.


She has since received additional training in the following areas:

  • Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS

  • Lidcombe Program (for young children who stutter)

  • Individual Authorizer through the Assistive Devices Program (ADP)

  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) such as Proloquo2Go

  • Childhood Apraxia of Speech

  • Behaviour Management Systems (BMS)

  • Social Thinking and Context Blindness

  • The Zones of Regulation (a curriculum designed to foster self-regulation and emotional control)

Caroline Gilpin, B.A., CDA

Communicative Disorders Assistant

Caroline is a Communicative Disorders Assistant passionate about providing quality speech and language services to children with a variety of needs. She is a University of Ottawa and Georgian College graduate and has enjoyed working with children in school boards and private practice since 2016. Caroline uses games and fun materials to target speech and language goals. She believes that if sessions are fun and engaging, children are more likely to succeed.
